Woke up late this morning. I was supposed to wake up at 7am so that I had ample time to prepare for the CIP, but somehow my alarm either didn’t ring or I slept through it, cause when I woke up, it was due to XH’s sms (and I think I was having a weird dream, but I can’t remember what it was about already) and my scary sms ringtone. Yes, that’s the reason why I use such a loud sms ringtone. It’s better than using my songs, right?
Bathed in 5 minutes. O.o Then I rushed out of my house after making a lot of noise that woke my whole family up (and I still had the time to wear my contacts and comb my hair). Ran half of the way, then I ran out of breath. Met Jing Qi and her other friends on the way. So we walked/strolled there together. XDDD
We were given instructions and we set off to do our door-to-door sales of postcards. XD Good thing I didn’t run into my old classmates or something. It’ll be weird.
Anyway, the thing went quite well in the first block (216 – we had to do 5 blocks), but got progressively worse as we went on. Our secret weapon – “We’re from DHS.” Apparently it works quite well, though some people just refused to donate (not that we could force them to). There was this one kind person who actually gave us $20! >.> We were all stunned. Haha.
After the sales, we decided to walk back to the centre. Oh, and by the way, the centre is at the market near my house. Stopped by 7-Eleven to buy milk tea. XD 3 bottles for $3!!! What a cheap bargain! I shared with XH and Wan Si. Heehee. Jing Qi found out later, and she was telling us to remind her to buy it cause she likes the milk tea too!
Oh yeah, we were the first group to go back to the centre, and there was no one else around. We ate the chocolate wafer, and started chatting randomly. Halfway through, another group came in. I think they were from another JC, but I’ve no idea if they were from PJC or VJC. Then another group from our school came in. And the student organisers decided to collect the money and leftover postcards, so we gave them and I went home. XDDD I’m super happy that I can walk home for once! And the others have to take a bus. XDDD It’s actually the first time. Well, for school-based activities, anyway.
And I kind of have a headache (maybe cause I woke up too early?) but I still have a lot of things left undone! And there’s sectionals tomorrow morning + comm meeting = waking up early to go to school and getting the guitar room key. Sigh. I should inform the teachers early to pass me the key or we’ll be locked out until who-knows-what time.
