Is a super great show! =D There were some unpredictable parts, like how Chisato was actually Shinzo’s daughter. >.> And he pretty much made her the mother of all his adopted (and real) sons. Oh, and how three of them actually fell in love with them. Not to mention how they all came back to live together with her although they’d left. Yay! I feel like rewatching this show again!
I’ll post this much first, when I fill my stomach and all that, I might come back to talking about this show! ^^ Hmm, that reminds me, I need to go and change the title for my Hana Kimi post now.
[EDIT]
Oops. Made a mistake. It’s Absolute Boyfriend, not Hana Kimi – I didn’t post anything about that. Maybe I’ll do it later? XD
[/EDIT]
Okay, I have 5 minutes to fangirl or do whatever I want to talk about this series.
Anyway, some people might find the plot of having one person forced to make changes in a group of people who don’t seem capable of getting along cliche, but there are certain parts that are not so cliche about this series. For example, a father forcing his daughter to “marry” him so that he can spend the remaining one month of his life together with her? And also, the oldest adopted son is actually the father’s real son? Erm. And the lawyer being on Chisato’s side. Well, more likely her client/Shinzo’s side. =.= For a moment in the series, I thought she was going to betray her deceased client. XD Though it’s kind of funny and sad that she gives up information if the person is a guy and either gives her a ticket to some concert thing or spend the night with her. Yeah, it’s kind of sad. Um. I’ve run out of examples.
I like the 7 Knights and the castle concept, despite it being pretty much a fairytale-like thing. XD I guess I’m a sucker for this kind of dramas. As in, about a person fighting to make changes in a group of people? And at least the shows aren’t dragged out as long as Taiwanese or Korean or Singaporean dramas (those are the true nightmares!). Or maybe the true reason I like it is because the plot moves very fast. =D Oh, and of course, this series doesn’t give me a super sad feeling at the end of it. It makes me anticipate the day the production team decides to make a special! Hopefully we’ll see if Sho confesses to Chisato (and if he doesn’t… I’ll be super sad).
Okay, I guess that’s about it for the ranting about this drama. It’s one worth watching (and there’s only 10 episodes – compare that to the seemingly never ending sob stories written by *coughcough* countries for the sake of satisfying the audience who won’t even be entertained by that kind of lousy script – well, at least, to me, that is).
If anyone has any good recommendations for Jdramas, drop me a comment or something? (I’m trying to stop watching them so that I won’t kill my laptop, though…)
Oh, and certain characters in the show reminded me of certain manga characters… XDD
1. Fuu, the oldest son – my impression of Tsuruga Ren from Skip Beat. I looked at the guy… And thought he seemed familiar and it struck me that he gave off the aura of Tsuruga Ren (in terms of his hairstyle, dressing…)
2. Takeru (can’t remember which one he is) – my impression of Ryu from Shaman King. XDD Except for the hair. Ryu has this super cool hair. XDDD But he just felt like Ryu…
Yep, that’s about it. ^^
