Ok, today, we did CIP in school. (Wow. This sounds like that kind of dumb journals I used to write in primary school.. “Today…” -_-) Anyway, I actually reached school just on time when we were supposed to keep the bags in the bags room… But Junjie, our duty nco, wasn’t there yet… In the end, we had to get the keys for him, and the most annoying part is, right after we got the keys, he came strolling in… -_- And he thought we hadn’t gotten the keys yet..
Anyway, I got the free people into LT 1 after our bags were put in the bags room, and they started blowing balloons to hang around in the LT. Though it was pretty plain cause there weren’t enough balloons.. Haha. Then, we got the cadets to put their bags in the bags room, which took a long time and we ended up being overtime… I mean, the whole thing wasn’t going according to schedule.
So, I gave them the briefing, and they happily skipped off to do whatever they should.. And the year 3s’ performance was very… entertaining. Haha, that’s all I have to say.
The year 1s and 2s? They took ever so long to decide where they were standing and stuff.. And cheated me of my feelings… They said that everyone was sure of the dance, but in the end? Some of them weren’t even dancing properly. Like, they weren’t even dancing the correct steps, and were a few steps behind most of the time… Wow. So that’s what they call “everyone is sure of the dance”. Excellent. -_-
It was a good (and bad) thing that the elderly was late. The good thing? More time for them to practise their items and for me to brief them on whatever I’d missed out previously. The bad thing? The schedule~~ T.T And they were late by almost an hour too.. I think it’s time I worked on my time estimation skills… ><
Either way, when they finally arrived, the situation was pretty chaotic at first. The wooden planks couldn’t be used as ramps cause they were too soft.. Yeah, even the stronger ones too. So the poor guys have to carry them up one wheelchair by one wheelchair.. Hehheh… ><
So we cut the presentation of gifts and cards and started the movie instead. But I didn’t even manage to watch the whole of the movie, cause I was busy running around to arrange the performance later (the year 3s were so happy when I told them that their performance had to be cancelled. -_-), then the food had to be unpacked and stuff. And there was that mystery of where the jelly came from… xD It took me two rounds of running around the place to settle the jelly. It ended up to be from the volunteers at the elderly home… -_- And there we were wondering where they came from… Oh yeah, and then I had to start telling people when to change into their costumes, telling the emcees (Wei Cong and Kristy) all the various changes in the plans. So, in the end, I didn’t really get to watch the movie at all… Though I knew the ending, so it was okay.
After the movie, there was a brief introduction about the dance from the emcees, and then the year 1 and 2s’ dance… Which was, a little more organised than the one in the morning. Thank goodness for rehearsals..
After a hasty ending whereby the year 1s presented their mugs to the elderly, we brought them back on the bus and rushed back to the LT to clean up. Well… Actually, they didn’t rush. More like strolling and chit-chatting along the way… Yeah, and I wasn’t too happy about it… But still…
I made them clean up the LT, which was done in a very short time since there were all three squads cleaning up one LT only. Yay. And I sent them off with their squad NCOs while the rest of us went to collect everyone’s bags…
I thought that was the end of it, but then we had to meet Mr. Kwek and fill in reflections, and discuss about the kayaking course too… By the time we left school, it was pretty late. Erm, if you consider half an hour after the dismissal time late, that is. And the SJ people were having their POP too!! Wow. POP seems so far away still.. They’d better give us nice invitations… Hehheh. And I heard that it’s on the 19th of July, which means that we’ve been NCOs for 1 year and 12 days when we pass out!
I shall kick the CIP out of the way to talk about lunch. *kick*
I was wondering if I should go with the guys, namely, Der Hui, Jun Jie, Kenneth and Wilson for lunch at Botak Jones, a place where they sell American food at a coffee shop in Bedok (exact location: Blk 412, Bedok Ave 2 [I think]). I have no idea how, but I was persuaded by them to go… (See, I’m so easily to persuade.) Then we started eating our food after waiting for a super long time for the food to come. The food tasting great made up for the wait, though. The tartar sauce was excellent. Much better than McDonald’s, anyway. But the portions were all so huge, we nearly burst our stomaches eating them. And I spent so much money today, my wallet was emptied of notes after lunch.
Other than Der Hui and I, the rest bought drinks after the meal! I was so shocked that they could still drink water.. Personally, I was so full I couldn’t take in even a breath of air. xD And when Jun Jie took my coleshaw (if you still don’t know, I don’t eat coleshaw), I told him this, “Are you sure you can finish that? Make sure you don’t vomit on us later.” Upon hearing that, he gave me that “-_-” face and pushed the coleshaw away. Haha.
So we took 45 minutes to finish our gigantic lunch, and we all decided that we didn’t need dinner after that. And we were also joking about getting Mr. Kwek to give all of us a treat there, or making the year 3s get the POP caterer from there.. XD Then they would save money, cause 2 people can share 1 set of the meal. xD
Either way, after lunch, I just went home on bus 12, and slack at home. xD
But my phone is breaking down on me too, other than my laptop. Now it refuses to read the messages, so I have to use my dad’s old phone. I seriously wonder what’s up with my things. They are all breaking down! T.T
Anyway, it’s late and I can hear my mum seeming to move over here, so I shall shut up for now. Be back when I have my rants or stuff about my life! (:
